Sludge/Doom/Stoner Metal

As a long time fan of Kyuss and Tool, Ufomammut just clicked for me.

Slowww tempos with massive distorted riffs, no melodic Doom Metal vocals.

I just listened to this all the way through...it's just awesome.

If anyone has any recommendations for more bands like this, I'd love to hear them.

CCM Fan
Aside from the obvious (APC and puscifer), you might like atomship. The deftones are also fantastic if you don't already listen to them. White Pony is one of my favorite albums of all time.

This song is bananas. It's like Kyuss meets Sabbath.

I also really dig this Torche song.

Whoa, that site is awesome. I was trudging through the Hitchhiker's guide to Sludge and The Obelisk trying to find more good stuff, but that map looks like it might be easier!

All forms of metal are superior to other genras of music. That being said no.bands come to mind other than what was mentioned matching your criteria. Maybe Giant Squid

Music Map is the greatest invention ever for people that constantly want to find more good music (or at least related to a particular musical flavour)

punch in a few of your favourite bands and see where it takes you, you will be impressed.

That's subjective, but Tool is simply amazing. With some of their songs I almost get flashbacks.
