So i am new to the sport just started a month ago and was wondering if there was an etiquette to paintball accessories and clothing. I absolutely love the sport and have already purchased 3 high end markers in the $1000 price range and plan to get into it alot more. The question is if i am a newb and currently a rec player, is it sociallly acceptable to wear the dye jerseys or pants or head bands. or is that stuff just for tourney players. Would i be labeled as a poser or wanna be or somthing? My younger brother who has played for a while says yes and to stick with jeans and a t-shirt. just wanted to get a consensus. |

yes, you will be called a poser. is it deserved? maybe, maybe not. will it be from the type of people that browse mcb? most likely not will it be from the type of people that browse pbn? mostly likely but the truth of the matter is yes, you will be called a poser. you really just have to ignore it because it's going to be haters. best advice i can give you.

Well ill stick with the longsleeve tees and jeans for now then. I love the sport and am kinda mad i never got in to it in highschool when my younger brother did. i Have kinda become addicted every time i see a good deal on ebay i jump at it so here i am 4 weeks later and i have 4 markers. Once i get a feel for the difference and gain a prefrence im going to sell them off. If i dont my wife will kill me lol.

Wearing paintball clothing does keep you from messing up regular clothes, but if you show up all decked out and have no game...you will get a label that will be hard to get rid of. Play your game...maybe wear the pants and something else for a bit till you get better. Many of us wear tee's when we play...no biggie.

If you go out with a palmers hurricane, you are wielding a 1000+$ marker. I'm a lot less frightened by that, then I am a 20+bps Ego.
