I'm a n00b again yet a lot of the stuff are still the same. I got into the sport with a Tippmann A5 that I quickly got all the upgrades possible for it. I sold it all and got an 06 Cyborg which made me delirious. I bought a brand new PGP2k that I had planned on sending to PPS to be Palmerized into a Micro Squall. I ended up jaded mostly because of the whole Smart Parts lawsuit garbage that hurt AGD, AKA and a host of other small companies. All the happiness and smiles seemed to disappear from the sport soon after. I ended up selling the MacDev gun. This was, I think, in 2005 or 2006? Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I'm on this forum drooling over all the new pump markers on the market. I'm really liking the CCM T2 but I'm excited about their prototype pump marker and the Phantom Revolution is interesting. I still have the PGP2k in factory condition and it has never seen action other than test shooting. I am wondering if I would be better off having it Palmerized instead of going after an used T2? Is the open class pump gaining traction across USA? Does Kentucky have a large open class pump following? Sorry for the rambling but I tried to make it short and sweet. Thanks. |

Jump back in! There are whispers the sport is dying, largely from some of the people who came into the sport a couple years back and are loosing interest. Im getting more and more new players looking to buy gear and other people coming by for gear to be repaired after being closeted for years.

The T2 and a Palmerized PGP are two completely different animals. While I love stock class, 12 grams and all... I suggest giving the T2 a shot. They're absolutely the best factory built open class pump gun to come out in the history of the game. You probably won't need another gun. As for the whole lawsuit and big company thing, ironically it feels like the little guys are on top in some ways. The big kids beat on each other and left our little corner alone for the most part. Dukie, CCM, Avratech, Metadyne, Lapco, CCI and of course Palmer's are all still making great gear for pump players. There is also way more access to custom shops like G&H who can set you up with beastly scratch built guns in the Sheridan tradition.

I'd take my lever KP over a T2 any day, but that's just me

| Dirty French Spy | I'd take your lever KP, too ![]() I'm a SC player these days and I love my Gargoyle. If you're a masochist take the PGP out for a bit. Or better, pick up a VSC Phantom for cheap-ish. In addition to my Garg I have an upgraded PGP, VSC Phantom, and Metadyne Thumper. The Garg gets all the love, everything else gets whored out to friends. I played with a CCM S6.5 for a long while and loved that gun. I like it better than the T2 myself, but you certainly can't go wrong with either. Or any CCM for that matter.

Wow, thanks for the replies! I thought the T2 seemed to be in a class that was the most popular or was getting the most traction within the community because I don't want to drive to a field and play against all those space guns. Especially when I'm going to re-learn how to play the game. I have a lot of more questions... I have a 68/4500 LP Legion Air tank/reg from MacDev that was recalled and I never sent it back to be swapped out. I was not playing anymore, anyway. I love the reg on it and I was wondering if it would be worth it to send the thing to somebody like Crossfire so they'd take the reg off the defective tank and put it on a new 48/4500 tank in stock? I have a stock Halo B loader and it's missing a spring that holds the door open while loading paintballs into it. Where do I find that little spring or should I replace the door with that one way "web" loader? Is the factory chip still good enough for open class pump? I have a PGP2k that I don't care about anymore. Does it have any resale value? I have Kila V2 detents for Cyborgs/AutoCockers. Does it have any resale value? I have a Cyborg ToolKit that has never been used and it also has the ram gauge. Does it have any resale value? I have an ACI Bulldog scuba fill station that I don't need. Any resale value, too? I am hoping to salvage my old purchases and go forward with my new pump marker. I realize that this is my second post on this forum and I basically have zero reputation but I can take pictures and post them in the B/S/T board. I have no idea what these items are going for in the marketplace... Thanks! |

One more thing, the papers says that I had a Sonic Cyborg. That is how long I have been away from the sport and it's all slowly coming back to me. I don't want to be on PB Nation... it's not my type of crowd and I've always enjoyed the easy going members on here and a few other forums. I'm going to stick around here |
