Nowadays, $350 is considered a STEAL on a KP3...

Another fun setup I've run is a right feed body where instead of a hopper you stick a feed gate onto the feedneck and jam a 10rd tube in it so it's held in place by the feedgate. It's commonly known as a competition feed.
Where would one get a tri fluted hammer? ASP was the only place I knew and they seem to be out. The oring modded TPC is just the new, standard CCI one correct? Like this one?

ASP Online Store: CCI Phantom TPC

If youre going to run true stock class as in 12 grams and stock feed Id get a CCI phantom hell even if youre planning on running a 3.5 oz co2 or 13/3000 Id get the phantom. But if youre planning on also running open class Id say get the Empire Sniper. Now if your main goal is to play open class pump Id go straight to a CCM 6.5 or T2.

lol that's one way of looking at it. Or they are trying to give you the advice you asked for to save you money and time in the long run.

I think the best suggestion so far would be to get your hands on as many different setups that you think might interest you and see if their owners will let you hold/shoot/play with them. Then make your decision from there.

best of luck on finding what you want

To me this is a contradiction. If you like the cocker platform, a pump version of one is just natural. I shot a lot of cockers. I WANT to like nelsons (and have owned and shot quite a few) but they just don't feel as natural to me. A sniper just fits.... (talking about a more modern cocker converted to pump here, not the originals). CCMs are really just a well refined and elegant sniper platform.

Here's the thing..... while it's more out of pocket cost, if you can pick up a used CCM for a decent price you'll also be able to sell it pretty quickly 6 months later for about the same price. Phantoms can be a bit cheaper but just don't sell as fast.

See you're in Monroe. You play at Hell? If so there's plenty of pumpers running around and you could probably borrow about anything you wanted to try. First sunday of every month we have pump and pistol. Come join us.

Forgive me if I miss on the tecnicality, but wouldn't a good brass marker give him the same feel as a KP3 but smaller (if heavier than a Phantom)? I need to get my Phantom out again....I played all one summer with my Super Stocker when I got it (more convenient for rollouts) and didn't get to play the next summer...Airowgun has been out both days so far this year. I found it strangely light using my friend's Phantom for a game, and I'm not sure how well I'd play with one anymore

If you are considering a phantom a grey ghost is a more refined version of that platform. Better pump stroke and trigger imho.
