mine is a softer/not so brittle plastic (sort of like a goggle lens). I do know what you are talking about, it happened to my brother's elbow but these seem a lot more durable.

I'd need 4 clear ones. I'm not interested in the colored ones. If you can come up with 4 let me know.

I've got a bunch of Armson 1x1 elbows kicking around here if you still need some.

I've got a bunch of clear ones, just not clamp if you want them. I may have a couple of used clamps that are clear. If I find them I'll post.

I have a VL clamper like the link above and it works awesome. I scored it from some guys parts box. Its soft not brittle. Might break someday but it seems like it will last.

The VL's are really good but if you have a really small feedneck or hopper neck and have to really wrench on the tightening screws you can get some hairline cracks around the screw slots. If you are in that situation and want it to last, a layer or two of duct tape on the too-skinny part will allow it to grab tight before the screws are overtightened.

I find the old grey armson elbows to be the best, they have the sleeves for the 7/8's with them, you'll most likely find them on an old gun, that's where I usually found mine, indestructable plastic. They're kinda rare, but IMO, they have the lowest profile of all the elbows I've ever used. I'm not sure what kind of VL bows you people are using, but if it's that "crackable" plastic, no thanks lol.

Some elbows are like a turtle's neck, some are like a giraffes, they really do make a difference when your hopper is already yeh big.
