.

both guns are post 2k - so will use the 2k pump kits.
Hold up - I'm pretty sure that GenX is pre-2K. Check out the body.

Good idea.

There's an article on WARPIG on the Gen-X, which says that the first run of Gen-X's were made from 99-spec guns, leftovers from WGP. Made 'em cheaper to make. Another reason for me to think that it's a pre-2K.

Considering that most of the GenX front block isn't there, I would suggest that you make that a pump. Less stuff for you to take off.

Given that your GenX doesn't seem to leak down the barrel, it seems to be the best candidate for the pump conversion, considering that most of the GenX front block isn't there.

I'm unsure of why your front block is set up like that on the stocker - any reason why?

Sounds like the shop you took your Cockers to doesn't know what they're doing.

Jordan,

I have no idea why gun is set up the way it is. I did buy it used, thats how it was set up. I have not changed anything on it at all, really my first real quality gun.

Damn you guys are awesome, totally rock. very glad i found this site, you guys for sure know your stuff. the serial number on the GenX is 69565.

also i have one other question. not sure if i read this or heard it some where. but is it true that if you have a three guns everything pretty much the same setttings, but the difference is one is mech, one electro and the other a pump. The pump will shoot further and straighter then the other two, one big advantage of pumps over the rest?

Yup, 99 body, so you'll need a Pre-2000 pump kit. They're a little harder to find, but they are out there.

Pumps don't shoot any further than any other kind of gun, although they may be more accurate because you'll need to match the paint to the barrel to prevent rollouts.

Lol, that was my perception on pumps a few years ago. "They are more accurate"
