Welcome to MCB!

The trilogy has the option to be converted to pump. Seeing you're into pumps when you started you might like to play now. Pump kit: PMP Industries - Paintball supplies - Product Detail
As for upgrades, I'm more of a don't fix it if it ain't broke type of guy. If the gun is working fine then you really don't need to drop so much money on it.

Welcome aboard!

Dye barrels are still very popular and quite good, although a bit expensive. There's somewhat of an ongoing debate right now about whether "bore matched" barrel kits (different backs+tip or inserts) are the best way to go, or a 1 piece with a constant bore size, but they are still quite popular. Alot depends on your marker and playstyle, based on your marker choice a .689 Dye 1 or 2 piece should be fine for general use without too much expense, although shop around for a good deal.

As always, get to know your marker and be familiar with it, and you should be fine on a field.

the new trilogy autocockers arent compatible with the 99 and 2k autococker parts for most parts on the markers. The trilogy is great as it comes with non adjustable timing but if you are into tinkering with the timing of a cocker then look for the adjustable timing rod (I have seen it before). Also you can get an adjustable low pressure regulator (lpr). Get a set of grips that feel nice to you. Go remote or on gun? With the new crossfire tanks and myth regs its possible to comfortably run on gun with just a bottomline (no drop forward).

crossfire high pressure air systems seem to be really good...look for the gurilla air myth reg for hpa

also unless you are running a high bps rate then you will be find with an older style viewloader revolution loader (no need for force loaders)

i also just recently got back into paintball...i last played in 01 after a 6 year addiction to the sport...welcome back!

Thanks for all the info guys...

Yeah im def goin with a high pressure tank.... Never used one before i was too young and too poor to afford one back when...

As for the hopper, the electronic view loaders worked well for me, thoguh i see they came out with new ones...

Im basically goin to be playing woodsball, and scenario.... Speed ball isnt my thing, and i dont think my fiance would be able to run outta the way of 100 paintballs flying at her... Shes a complete noob at this , never played....

As for the barrels , wow , yeah dye is up their ein price, i guess if i go ill look to something a lil cheaper in rpice... for now at least, i imagine ill buy another marker by spring....

J&J Ceramics are nice barrels, as are the CP 1-piecers. They'll both run about $30. Lapco Big Shots are nice too, although the bore might be a little big on a 'cocker.

Then I suggest a 12V Revolution or eVLution II or III. Much better battery life than the newer VLocity hoppers. And you don't need a 20+ BPS hopper to feed a Trilogy SF for scenario games (unless you're a heavy gunner).

Revvys and Eggs can be found for dirt cheap on the used market.

Before you buy a new barrel, try the stocker. It's not the worst in the world.

The SF will run at 15 BPS in FA and 18 in semi, so you only need to feed it that fast. I like overkill, so I have a Halo V35 on mine, but I only run it on the 22 BPS setting.

I shoot a DYE UL on a TAC ONE and make nearly any shot needed with it.
it's very accurate!

I just got a stainless steel back off a pb-buddy to make a 2 piece DYE boomstick.
haven't put it to test yet.

my DYE UL is 3-4 years old..not sure on current manufacturing of DYE barrels
these days. ???
