I prefer steel tanks. Fiber wrapped tanks need a hydro every 3 years, but steel ones need them every 5. Plus they add a nice "heft" to the rear of the gun.

Depends on when the fiber-wrapped tank was made. If it was before 2001 (July? I don't exactly remember) then it's a three year rehydro. If it was made after 2001 (again, not sure of month), then it's a five year rehydro.

The mag I bought has the classic SS bolt (I think), an SS valve, barrel, body, and a big-*** SS drop forward.

I think a little heft toward the back of the gun might be a good thing.
