You can still buy hard ears for a Proflex.

That wouldn't help cover ear lobes any better.

LOLS! I'd think if the straps are low enough to cover your lobes, then they're in a dangerous position of not secure your mask properly on your face.

the full coverage mask doesn't fit larger sized heads. it was more geared towards younger kids to help protect their whole head. I know i can't even get my shrek sized melon in one of the full cover masks. The flex 8 will do you well most likely.

Actually, it shifts the back of the mask slightly higher, which (in some cases) can cover the ears better.

No matter how you see it, shifting a mask until it fits properly is a cheaper (and often safer) choice than simply buying something different.

i've found that all the flexes (pro, 7, 8 and revolution) leave my earlobes hanging about a bit. other than that, my flexes are the most breathable mask i've owned. as for most comfortable, vforce grill wins by a mile. I also love how easy it is to take out the lens for cleaning, making even the nastiest lens shot a breeze to clean between games.

With double straps and soft ears from Softearmods.com on my Flex7, I get full ear protection.
