Jarden Corporation (Coleman, Mr. Coffee) to Buy K2

Quote:
RYE, N.Y. and CARLSBAD, Calif., April 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jarden Corporation (NYSE: JAH) and K2 Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, Jarden will pay $10.85 per share of K2 common stock in cash and will issue 0.1086 of a share of Jarden common stock (subject to adjustment as provided in the merger agreement) for each share of K2 common stock outstanding as of the closing. The cash and Jarden stock to be issued in the transaction has a combined value of approximately $15.50 per K2 share, based on the closing price of Jarden common stock on the date of signing the merger agreement. The total enterprise value of the transaction, including the assumption or repayment of indebtedness, is approximately $1.2 billion. The transaction is expected to be accretive to Jarden's earnings and to close early in the third quarter of this year.

Personally, I think since K2 bought WGP, it went wayside Brass Eagle and the rest of the mass market junkets. Don't get me wrong, I like the trilogy line but is that really "WGP"?

Wow, there's always a bigger fish out there.

I just realized that vanilla pudding tastes better than chocolate.

As for WGP, I don't know how much relevance can be restored by new management.

Is it really WGP? Yeah, a version of their flagship made simpler to make it cheaper to buy, and get it in the hands of more players.

Kindof like the escort of paintball (ford escort, that is)

well, if the Jarden corp, of Coleman fame are in charge, i can see them trying to restore WGP and others to their 'former glory'

at least i hope that is what they do... the new WGP stuff isn't really even autocockers anymore, they have an EP (a-la Timmy) and the retarded love child of a Timmy and an e2'd cocker.

WGP former glory ? stolen designs never credited to the creators, all parts maid in the orient for over ten years, lack of development, relied on other companies to fix their poor quality and performance.

''Ahh, the new Jarden Corp paintball gun...but what's all that churning and bubbling?''

''No, that's Mr. Coffee, this is Mr. Paintball''

Lemon pudding is nowhere near as good as I remember.

I wonder how cheap they'll be able to turn a gun out now with all of that extra capital?

Maybe they will try a propane powered cocker now, "cook your breakfast and play some paintball with the same tank!".

And I still like tapioca pudding.

Coffee flavored or scented paintballs would rule though.

I like rice pudding
My 05 prostock self destructed at EMR.
The apple scented paintballs seem to be selling like crazy. I think that if they could make campground bacon, eggs, and coffee scented, that would rule even more.

As long as I can get parts for my Blazer, I'll be happy.
