CPX announces team for the NPPL chicago Pump divison. Can you say DYE.

CPX will be entering in a pump team to the NPPL chicago event. Mostly ironmen players and DYE staff.

Taken from CPX facebook:
"So CPX is entering a pump team to take on Sal Briguglio's Total Grief in the NPPL. The CPX Pro-Stars comprised if Mike Paxon, Rocky Cagnoni, Billy Wing, Trucker Billy, MB, Adam Burkhart, & Antonio Falcon. "

http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/cpxsports

With the low turnout (now 5 teams i think) i think this is a step in the right direction for tournament pump paintball. In my own opinion this could be a really good advance in the publicity of the nppl pump division. Although, i wish they would have done this in HB.

I know and have spoken to a lot of professional and semi pro/D1 players who play pump in the off season and when they are not playing their normal league. Speaking with some guys at HB they have alot of love for the pump guys, and if they could they would love to play the division.

Pro's catch alot of heat from alot of people in the paintball world. Personally i just think people need to understand that their drive, determination and sometimes arrogance on the field is no where related to off field interactions(with few exceptions).

What are your thoughts on this CPX team composed of big name Dye players?

I met Antonio (Midnight Angel) and played pump with Adam last weekend. Good group of guys who are out there to have fun. I think its a good move for all, and wish them good luck!

I'm a little out of the loop as far as who owns what with a lot of these companies. Does Dye, CPX have a pump gun? If not I wonder if this is part marketing that will be followed with a release or if not what they will be using. The politics of all these sponsored teams is kinda interesting.

That was kinda my first thought, that they were going to be funning CCM's as they are the most popular and arguably best Open Class pumps on the market today. But, Kee recently threw their hats in the entry pump ring, Metadyne is getting in, CCI is coming out with a new gun geared more to open class, CCM is doing an amazing job. Maybe Dye/CPX or whoever, is going to throw their hat in also?

I think this is good as whole for pump paintball, should be interesting. Wonder if they'll be shooting Reflex Cockers with CCM pump kits? Someone should film these games.

Maybe thats it, maybe some old stock cocker bodies and either a new pump kit or someone elses pump kit.

Just having a hard time believeing that the sponsorship (which is a marketing tool) is just to show off and tote how great soft goods and accessories are.
