its not an ano.. its a plating style.. like chrome.. which even means even that will oxidize .. they pumped about.. 20 or 30,000 volts of electricity through the body which gives it that finish.. anodizing is using a dye

the Aurora finish is actually Chrome Plating just more complicated and uses a lot more energy. The Aurora plating does not change colors in certain light or angle the way you see it in the pics is how it is. The process is extremly hard to do with Aluminum but with other metals its easier. Shoot if you had a steel cocker than you could get the Aurora finish no problem but it would weigh a ton.

I thought that it was Ti plated then the process above is done to them. Also this won't oxidize at a rate that is readily visibly to a human life. That is unless you place them in water for a while, or any other highly corrosive environment.

Also chrome plating the the plating of Sn over another material.

If this is done to just plain aluminum you would need a lot more voltage, but if you plate it with titanium then this can be done at a much more reasonable range of voltages.

I am going to double check my notes from class and see if everything that I said was correct.

Was it ODD Paintball that used to offer this type of service? If remember correctly it was very limited and it was at the marker owner's risk cause the process was so finicky.

Back on topic: I have yet to see Myron's prototype, really want to but so busy working these days.

I had an aurora-bodied PM7. It was an absolute bear to keep clear of fingerprints and paint. I wouldn't wish it on anybody, lol!

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
tlane77 He's got a woody for your woods.
