and it is paintball related, A major paintball company is exploring other niches in extreme sports. Its a good thing for the industry as a whole. Even if you think it is over priced. Dye makes a few quality products, and they stand behind them. They may not be cheap, but i dont buy cheap gear. Im hard on my gear and i need my equipment to be able to handle it.

nah, gotta agree with the original poster, this is kinda in relation to paintball.

oh well, on the bright side, it's the perfect time to try and expand a solid business, with the economy being so strong and everyone needing an alternative to Salomon and K2 boards, on the bright side, maybe we will stop having matrix platform changes every 8-12 months.....

EDIT* Nick is right....

it's a good idea. The market is bigger, their products are excellent quality.

Well, I've used my paintball pads for downhill mountain biking and skateboarding before. I think tournament paintball padding alone could crossover to other sports. In fact, I think there are or were at least a few paintball companies that came from other industries. One that comes to mind is Joey & Co. The owner made camera bags before venturing into paintball to make harnesses and pants.

Didn't Valken make hockey gear before paintball gear?
