Just sent Delta my info for a pre-order. This is the first NEW marker I will have purchased since my 98C in 2000 or 2001. You can still find Cocker breaches, but I can all but guarantee this will be a unibody system like in every Ion variant after the Epiphany and classic Ion, and only available in Ion/Imp threads. The feedneck on this is integrated into the exoskeleton, the 2 piece bodies were threaded themselves for the feednecks. Kind of curious which method of trigger they are using - pulse valve of some sort or a normally open 3-way. I suppose they could also use a check valve off of a 3-way, but that would infringe on the PE patent for the GEO - most (if not all) other direct pneumatic triggering mechanisms are fair game from expired patents or un-patented prior art. Either way, definitely hoping they stick with the same bolt system as all of the others in the family. |

| MCB Member | Be honest I've only broken about 3 rnds out of about 20,000+ rounds. All 3 were my fault. All I'm seeing is an upgraded ENVY that has gone pneumatic. If GOG is offering Tech Classes, then there must be something inside we are not seeing in the picture. As I mentioned "SLUGO" as taught me all pictures aren't true We should all just wait till the final pictures and tech info comes out ![]() Some internals and externals info has already been posted here. I know I'm thinking one thing and it will end up another. Either way it isn't long for the lathe ![]() Later, Blackrain

No matter what, this is a good thing: 1-New low priced entry gun 2-More players on a budget can play 3-already existing repair parts on the market 4-Probably easy to modify/repair. Later, Blackrain

The Ion is nothing more than an altered balance Matrix to begin with - which started out as a mechanical gun. Which is based on a valve system used in the meat packaging industry. If you look at all of the systems used in paintball, there are very few completely unique systems that don't borrow in some fashion from the earlier models. Most of them rather far removed. Taking another design, reverse engineering it, reproducing it part for part would make someone a jerk, not borrowing design cues. Although, that would explain the NME part of the name.... Quote:

I usually would be with the people whining about this because there is a good deal to be bothered by when talking about SP/GOG/etc. However if a cheaper, good quality, easy to care for marker comes out and gets more people into the game then no one can really complain. The sport needs more players and this is at least one way to get them.
