Even DW/Yoda aren't the ones who created that setup. They just made it into a nice easy kit for people to use instead of having to source components individually. Replacing the solenoid with a 3 way valve is not a new idea, just for some reason no one really decided to market it.

Since one eventually always brings up patents when discussing the Gardners, it would be interesting to see if Colin Bryant Moritz has anything to say about this new marker:

Not directly applicable, but it's the first patent that came to my mind vaguely similar to this marker.

This once again proves that the people behind Smartparts are incapable of origional creation and must then rely on replicating the work of others.

(Looks like a stock mech Ion to me. Probably cloned directly from aftermarket producers. Heck, they'll probably relase a pump version in a few months...)

Here is my little snip. If in fact it is only the standard ion, or so, with the mech setup; I have lost even more resect for SP. Copycat jerks. Just like KEE and Tippman using the AGD Automag design. Again, copycat jerks. Get your own design.
