^^ I thought that someone did tests and found that rifleing the FSR's didn't add an appriciable amount of accurecy? I kinda remember it from earlier in the thread but I could be wrong. Memory isn't my strong suite.

To my knowledge the only unofficial test was done by uv halo and his findings were that the barrels work but not for the t9 in which they were made for due to the fact that the drag imparted by the rifling can't be compensated for by cranking up the fps since the reg just doesn't have the head room

So... what makes you think rifled barrels benefit FSRs, then?

The only drawback that has ever been noticed is the problem with internal regs. It's all theory at this point but all signs point to they improve accuracy so long as your reg can keep up. I shouldn't have a problem. The Palmers ca cart reg I'm using should have enough head room for it

In other words the problem was the reg on the t9 not the barrel

Yeah, I get that, I was just wondering if there was non-theoretical proof at this point.

Ah, natch. I agree that theoretically it'd be an improvement but sometimes these things don't prove out. Looking forward to hearing what you uncover!

If you are focusing that specifically on FSRs, why even bother with regular paint? the solution is clear: if you want performance with both, you use a smooth bore, if you want to go balls to the wall with FSRs, you use a specific rifled barrel or some system to crank up the spin on the round in order to tighten up the accuracy even further. I don't think it can add any range though.
