Iirc the gun you see being shot around the raw on at wc doesn't have their board installed. It's a UTB with a 9v, in fact that is the reason that it didn't have their own grips installed due to their grips being designed around a cr123.

Anyway bottom line is it is semi only in fact. I suck at shooting but because the trgger design and quick reset I was walking it.

Yes, exactly.

Yep, uncapped. we had a few people run it over 20cps at Cup. Somebody has video of Tim doing a 2-3 finger cycle of the gun. Very quick.

In tuning and prototyping these, we had one up to 42cps in F/A - it was kind of crazy to see it. Full cycles, full shot, no drop off. Nuts.

With paint it might only do 25-30cps...

Since there are several design aspects which make cycle speed
A) increase without paint and
B) influence velocity...
maybe even less than 18bps without shoot-down?

A few bits: This is a new design, entirely. It takes a bit to understand the dynamics. That being said...

Most guns cycle faster with paint because the back pressure keeps the valve chamber filled, requiring less air to fully recharge it. Due to this design, even more so, since the valve chamber pressure is also what returns the bolt. We tested the cps with both no back pressure and then varying degrees of back pressure - same gun would cycle 35cps fully without shoot down, with no back pressure, then up to 42cps with back pressure.

So cycle speed increases with back pressure.

As shown on previous videos the gun cycles at 16bps no problem, and in fact in testing the it was able to cycle 21bps without a hitch - again, no eyes and just a rotor.

Mechanically cycling at 40cps (that was just where we stopped, not the end limit) means a total cycle time of 25ms total. Adding 20ms to load (not subtracting load time as the bolt is returning backward and the ball is going into the breech) you have 45ms total, for an easy 22bps.

Shoot down of the cycle isn't noticeable at 40cps, at 22bps there should be no velocity issues, and at 16cps, above what almost any field or tournament allows, there are no issues.

That testing was done with a flawed switch, that released air at about 10% of the designed parameters.

This will be plenty quick enough for everyday use, and so we reduced the forward pressure over a large portion of the stroke, slowing it down even more. Yet still we have no problem firing paint without eyes over 16bps.

Again, this is a far different design than anything previous, so some of the former assumptions do not apply.

oh sure, through math into the equation of figuring out the speed of the thing. the numbers if you will :sarcasm:

You know now paintballers and math mix. First kid off the field says he shot 3, the second shot 2, the third shot 1, and the other two also shot 2.

But there was only 5 on the other team...
