Why not? They did something stupid and are paying the price for that stupidity.

Hey, I had a paintball gun taken from me by police (while a cop had me in his sights) because I had been shooting at someone with a shotgun. Had that one not been proven to be total crap, I would have been in worse shape than them.

You want to shoot animals, you get a license and shoot game animals, with a proper gun.

You want to have fun with a paintball gun, go play.

You want to screw off and do something that you know isn't correct... T.S. if you get caught, you're in trouble.

What's next? Will be okay to strangle, drown or electrocute helpless animals?

depends on the animal. jk
i think it was a little harsh banning them from paintball forever plus the fines and service. like their lawyer said they are kids and they did something stupid. alot of kids make mistakes. they should have looked at the kids past too, it seems everyone says they are really good kids ( is this the first time they were in trouble?) ive done stupid stuff when i was young, most of the time i got caught but i took my punishment and learned a lesson. i dont think i would stay away from paintball if i was in their shoes, i wouldnt shoot at animals anymore but wouldnt stop playing . this is just my opinion though and its just like an azzhole, everybody has one.

I'd imagine they smelled pretty bad by the time they were done.

I think punishment is reasonable given where they were and what they did. Running around a state cmapground blasting woodland creatues to death is different than a farmer shooting a woodland creature that just ate the heads off half his chickens. So, I guess I'm saying that the fact skunks died is sort of irrelevant to the case at hand. They are being punished for abusing wildlife at a campground.

I read the story, and what I took from it is that in some evidence room somewhere right now, two court employees are having an impromptu game of paintball with the markers slated for destruction.
