From the site:

The ContourROAM2 is an updated version of the original ContourROAM. Both cameras feature Contour's one-touch record slider and are waterproof to 1 meter without a waterproof case. The ContourROAM2 adds a lock switch for the record slider, the ability to shoot 720p at 60FPS, and the option for colored camera barrels."

I have a roam 2 and have had it for over a year now. It's if full 1080p, easy to use, light, and durable (took a hit directly in the lens in the first game out with it). It's a much nicer profile than a gopro.

You can install the roam 2 firmware on the roam. All you need to do is change the file name from "roam 2" to "roam"

You get some extra lighting features, the ability to film at 60 fps, and it films in mp4 format, instead of whatever horrible format that the roam films in.

I will probably pick one of these up around Christmas. I love the ability to rotate the lens to film sideways. The slider was meh in my opinion; it always felt tough to slide back and forth for me. Wish it was more of a smooth sliding action.
My Feedback (still growing!!)

On the way out a lot of places were liquidating the parts and accessories so I'm not surprised. It might take a bit for them to build up inventory again.

As big as the switches are now, I wonder how durable they are to paintball impacts.

That nelspot never needs lube, shoots 2,000 ball per second, never needs reloaded, doesn't require an air source and when the paintball hits somebody the result is the same as if Chuck Norris round house kicked them.
He nick named the gun Reggie.

I've been using the original Roam since they came out, and it is (in my opinion) the best out there for paintball helmet cam first person footage. The wide angle (170 wide in 720HD). is close enough to your "normal" vision that you can see what is going on around the shooter. And as others have said, I've taken TONS of direct hits to my lens with no problems.

Both my Helmet cam and Henry's in my videos are Contour Roams.

At the end of this video you can see my Roam take a DIRECT hit!
