FancyPants- Good idea. That is how I do it. I don't even like leaving them with PPS really either... I just like knowing that they're home waiting to go shoot people... Come to think about it, Craig has had my EBZ for a couple months now...if not longer....
Why not just leave your mechanical guns mechanical. I mean E-Blazers I'm assuming aren't mass produced so its almost like a one off everytime. Hmmm....more like many offs but not enough to be mass produced.

I guess I'm bias because I like Blazers mechanical. I also like cockers mechanical too. Oh wells. Good luck to you all.

I agree with the other guy, I always send my stuff to people with physical business. Someone who does it for a living, I would never send work to someone that does it for a "side" gig. Seems like all the custom people are having health problems. Or maybe they are all fed up with whatever it is and just use the health card to gain sympathy.

Because they want to? Because its less complicated and less expensive than the factory option? Because (probably Drum's reason) you want to have one of every option?

Azzy's on it.

While the wise money is on dealing with a brick and mortar establishment, motomut had done work for several friends and I was actually able to hold and shoot an example of his work.

It was not vaporware at all, as far as I was concerned.

I do have a few extra Blazers, but I could not bring myself to monkey with any of them (even though the motomut conversion was easily reversible).

So, I bought a cheap 1K specifically to send to him.

On the up side, moto refused to accept any money from me until the work was done. On the downside, the last I heard from him was that he was putting my completed Blazer in the mail to me the next day.

And that was it.

Actually, I have no hard feelings. This is one of the first times this has happened to me and so I am not pre-embittered or anything.

It DOES irritate me when people who are "disappeared" show up and read threads here without responding to pm's or emails, but other than that, I tend to let bygones be bygones.

Brewwt, I though he wouldn't charge you for the conversion on your BZ.

He wouldn't/didn't. I sent him cash with it (MY CHOICE) so it would be a top-notch job and so he didn't have to go out of pocket for the FASOR bits and eye cover and stuff. Plus he never charged me anything for the ORIGINAL open-bolt conversion he did on it. His quote when he received my Blazer this time was "way too much money sent!"

Last I heard from him he was having major "life difficulties" and his shop was "in storage" during a reorganization of some fashion. This was months ago.

Damn, I sent him a letter in the mail today. Last I heard from him was on April 8th, when he was "Shipping this week". Hopefully I get one back. I went as far as adding him on Myspace, but he stopped logging in around late September. He never read the messages I sent him. Regardless sucks things turned out this way, still hope he's okay.

My Blazer was a 2K, right feed BZ2581
Sent in on January 9th, 2009.

I sent mine while they were doing the move to the new store. No problem on waiting because they have always come through for me. I got it back and well it rips. Worth the wait. He had to replace the solenoid.
