apparently the original Desire is still HTCs best phone ever
yeah, but with the 800mhz running 2.2 its still faster than a 1ghz running 2.1.

I read after rooting the intercept the WiFi won't work... is your's working? I've been thinking about rooting mine, but not sure I'm comfortable with it yet.

Wifi as in connecting to wifi or tethering wifi? As far as i know inxane has fixed the wifi issue in his kernal and so has the maker of squeeljoy, my tethering works (or it shows up on my laptop, haven't tried connecting yet) and i am going to try and find a wifi network to connect to right now

EDIT: tried searching for wifi networks and they show up, haven't tried connecting as they are both locked but they show up (one is mine and i forget the password >.>)

Also, i would strongly recommend doing it... performance increase alone is worth it, not to mention things like wifi tether, live wallpapers, setCPU, etc... and ubuntdroid looks amazing If you, or anyone needs help i can't point you guys in the right direction

Love my X, have no complaints about it other then i need to charge it a few times a day cause i am CONSTANTLY using it. Takes a lot of juice to power such a huge screen. If you do normal usage the battery should last you a day fine. If you are like me and are constantly on the phone, like every minute, then yeah...invest in a bigger battery or get used to charging it often. Other then that it is amazing.
