Wow... 12 pounds? Seriously?

Anywho.
Insanity, 10 miles a week. I hate the weather here, it swings like crazy.

I have a turkey trot Thursday, 5 miler. Quite the change from last year in which I ran my first 5k.

Haven't weight myself yet, so we shall see.

I am far too much of a skeptic for diets.

I'm more of the watch what you eat, be active, and be smart type of dieting.

My one buddy from gradschool, his sister and brother in law did some goofy diet thing where all they ate were proteins for a while, nothing else.

Dropped a ton of weight, looked good, but their energy was zombie level.

Twinkie diet helps nutrition professor lose 27 pounds - CNN.com

This guys diet was 70% twinkies and he lost 27lbs. Cals in vs cals out > food type.

Obviously this isn't the healthiest and I don't recommend junk food, but it proves the point that portions are the main factor controlling how much weight you lose, not the type food you eat.

Nothing magical about all the advertised diets out there, you eat less calories than your body needs to maintain it's current size and you will lose weight.

201lbs, down from 217. I was planning to stop at 200, but strength hasn't dropped much so I think I will continue for a couple more weeks.
