Paintball Video Game

Alright guys, I've been thinking and figured I'd throw this out there to discuss.

I first learned about paintball when I played Greg Hastings Tournament Paintball on the Original Xbox. Everyone has their own ideas on how to bring in new players and keep them playing, so here is mine. Make a decent game

When I first played it, my friends and I wanted to go to a local field to try it out. The game should have great graphics and audio (which GHP lacked), and you should feel like you are in the game. If a company utilized the technology on today's market, they would have something big going for them.

So my thought is this:
Make a game with the perspective that DICE's "Mirror's Edge" utilized. 1st person shooting, but every turn of the head was tracked and your whole body didn't move when your person glanced from side to side (Call of Duty, Halo, etc.) Then make it so that you are living the experience. You start as a weekend baller, learn both styles (woods and speed), then you choose your path, and take it from there.

The technology aspect. If companies utilized Wii's motion detection, the Xbox Kinect system, and Playstation Move, you could make one kick a** game. Say you're playing speedball. You start at the board and literally have to motion your gun towards the board, below your waist. You choose a spot to go, then the "burn" starts and you begin. The technology could track your trigger walking and once you got to your bunker, it could track your snap shooting. EDIT: Most importantly, don't make wiping an option!!!

I don't know, just a concept I dreamed up as I was working this summer, it's nice to finally put it on paper (kind of a ramble instead of a rant)

And we could do a separate section for realsim. Where you are simulating a real life simulation..

yes but every time i got in a server, there was nobody playing. It was neat though, you ended up at a real field staging area and had to walk into whatever field you wanted to play.

And that's the problem. I'd rather just go play. Video games are for things you can't do, or in some cases no longer do. That said, ARMA2, 68 Cal mod.
