yeah, i still own alot of the Great old games, but i would have to re-buy them to be able to play them.. thats what i ment about "modern PC's" not being able to play them

GOG modifies the games to operate in the new windows environment, and they do well. but they dont offer every game i like due to licencing issues

FYI old school drm was to ask you to type out a word in the manual (paragraph 3 line 2)

or ask you something that can only be found in the manual.. whats a manual now? thats a car right?

the internet sorta killed that. It also sucked if you lost the manual.

They don't make games that require brains anymore so you don't need a manual. Games now tell you where to go and what to go for the entire 2 hours of single-player and then point you online where you can be insulted by fat kids and socially maladjusted basement dwellers and wonder why you still bother playing games anymore at all.

This is part of the reason why I don't play games anymore. Though I bought Starcraft II without realizing it had the same sort of security. I wasn't able to play my single player game at times because the servers were down (this was two years after it was released).

I wasn't aware of Gog.com...

SimCity 2000? Special Edition for download $5.99 - GOG.com

Reticulating splines... I might just have to get this.

Still stuck playing Rollercoaster Tycoon. Haven't really left that yet, too much fun.

it gets worse:
