Bioshock infinite

So who's playing so far? I picked it up yesterday and I'm having a blast. The game is amazing, not just the combat but the plot, ect. One thing I reccomend if your playing is to get in on every little extra detail you can, especially in the beginning. Spend lots of time looking around and you'll be surprised at how much detail the developers went into.

I enjoyed this game. I'm now trying to play thru on 1999 mode, I have also realized that I am not as good at this game as I thought.

I got it on the PC and honestly, I was really disappointed. Loved the first Bioshock (although didn't play the 2nd) and was eagerly awaiting Infinite. Came to it after completing Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Far Cry 3 and had high expectations.

The concept, story and backdrops are great, but the actual FPS mechanics feel awful. The weapons aren't particularly satisfying, the sound is poor, the graphics (especially the facial animation) feels a whole generation behind FC3 and it's just a bit boring to play. There's not much variation in the combat and it's all very toe-to-toe shooting, with little opportunity for sneaky-sneaky. Seems dumbed down from the first Bioshock.

Got about halfway through and don't feel much of an urge to continue, major disappointment for me.

Perhaps it comes across better on a console?

Beat it and playing on 1999 mode. Story was mindblowing, and Im evidently nowhere near as good as I thought I was.

Just got it for my wife today (I am not big on the Bioshock games but she loved #1 and thought #2 was ok, but she's been looking forward to this one for over a year).

Playing through on hard is demanding. 1999 mode is gonna make rage quitters out of some of us.

My copy just arrived in the mail thus making my work day 100x slower.. grr.

Huge fan of the Bioshock series and while this isn't Rapture I think it still looks good.

Yep. I love the colour too, how theres more of a variety and not just some tint of one colour to everything like in battlefield.
