That's a hell of a deal! Me personally, I just don't trust fragile Tv's to make them to their destination in one piece. Hope they Pack the **** out of it, lol

Well second thought after reading the reviews on that website and bbb dont buy from them. Now, for the price of the vizio not on that website, the sony850e looks more intriguing. At 1399 the vizio won but if im paying the 15-1600 im kinda leaning 850 now. Dam decisions. Decision in the am.

Ok well i went and got the 65" sony x900e.... after looking at the 850 in bestbuy, it was a no brainer for 200 bucks more. I used 300 in points from my cc rewsrds to offset the price to 1600 bucks out the door. The tv is just fricken amazing. I dont even have 4k content yet lol but this should future proof me for some years to come. Hell my dad is still rockin his plasma samsung.

Ideally no one should be donating a single electron to their television

Now imagine the messages instead of 24 Hz or 30 Hz it's 120 Hz or 240 Hz

Unless you play games only :P or watch really good movies
CRTs are better for games though

Sorry to disrupt the thread

That's the good part about buying middle-upper class electronics. Cut off the "bleeding edge" tax, but still get 5+years usage out of it. Hell it took 5 years to even make my i5 2500k to even have something noticably better.

You guys that are buying high end TVs. Please be careful when handling/intalling them. I've noticed that this years models are A LOT more fragile this year than last. It seems that the manufacturers are pushing for thinner designs this year that is pushing the strength of the materials used.

It's not as fragile as when plasmas* first came out, but they do require a bit more care than before.

*You weren't supposed to lay plasma TVs flat on the floor because it could crack the screen. The boxes they came in had a tip monitor that would change color if the box was tipped more than 45 degrees.

Go home your drunk... we did miss the crackpot in you tho.....

I laid my tv flat... to install the wall hanger. Oops. Seems fine... just watch your fingers pressing on the screens. If you push too hard, it will make a black spot.

That's a good thing. I sure am tired of lugging around my heavy TV.

Now they just need to work on inventing a mattress that doesn't double in weight in 8 years. I pretty tired of moving that around too.
