I stumbled on the game called tribal wars <tribalwars.net> . This damn game is driving me insane. It's simple but addictive. Is there any others out there like it?

Free Online Games | InstantAction has several browser multiplayer games. Fallen Empire Legions is my favorite.

For something like Tribal Wars, try Travian.

Yeah I d.l'ed it for a friends kids. Seemed a little cheesy for me. I might try it out.

I'd seen it and bookmarked it, but never got around to trying it out. My wife's the big browser-game nut, not I.

Now, if you want something real challenging, try Dwarf Fortress. There's a really good intro tutorial for it here, and trust me - you're going to need the tutorial.
