Well, I got to talk w/ Brian today. Seems the small nick I found on the forward regulator o-ring was to blame, even though it didn't cause a leak. He is sending parts up to OK D-Day for me, so we'll see how that goes. Weird thing was, that as soon as I hung up w/ him, I picked it up (it was gassed up) and started just messing around with it and it started shooting. So, everything seems to work OK now, except for the auto-trigger doesn't work, maybe the new o-ring will fix that.

He also said to never run bulk CO2 on it, which is weird cause it should be able to handle a 3.5 tank vert fed cause it should be no different than a 12g... but w/e.

I guess he thinks if running bulk there is a risk of liquid getting in the valve system. I plan on running mine anti syphon on bottom line as it shoots so soft and quiet that way. My auto trigger has never worked but it is hard to auto the stock class feed.

Has anyone regulated one with a palmer stabilizer?

i tried to run mine on an old wgp reg and it was a pain to get tuned. you have to open up the internal reg then use the external reg to bring the velocity back down to speed. mine was never really shooting over field speed with hpa anyways so i ditched the effort and just run it with a gas through. haven't tried reg'ed co2 though.

Yip that is how i run my setup... well with an added remote coil. My palmer is on my remote and if i get a male stab it would go to my Phantom. I open up the regulator on the Thumper and then use my stab to regulate the air\co2 it runs about 200psi-300 at most.

Edit: Oh and it shoots at around 280 fps.

Do the V2 thumpers have a bifferent detent to prevent pinching on the sides of the breech or did they not tackle that issue at all?

Yes, the new detent is the same rubber detent, but situated in a half-pipe shaped piece of aluminum. This new design is better at cupping the ball as it drops, reducing the chance of a misfeed. (it should be noted that I still managed to get mine to misfeed if I held it at an extreme angle, but it would unjam easily when the angle changed to vertical and the pump was actuated again unlike the version 1 design that required a lot of finagling to unjam.)

Are v1 Thumpers able to get that whole different front piece?
