Thanks for compiling these information into one tidy thread! I have a question that's been bugging me for days. How do we prevent double feeding on nelsons if we forget that we already have a ball chambered? |

Some Nelsons have specially designed internals and trigger to not allow that to happen, two that jump out are the Empire Trracer and ER2. The Gargoyle you can simply pull the trigger just a little bit, if there is resistance it's cocked, 0 resistance means it's not cocked. With any Nelson without a return spring you can start to cock it, if you feel resistance (the main spring compressing) it's not cocked if it moves freely/almost no resistance, than it's cocked.

![]() I've always been able to do as Nish said, and lightly press on the trigger, if there's resistance, it's cocked and ready to go. Using stock Phantom trigger group as well.

What kind of oils/grease do I need to maintain my Grey Ghost? *edit* Never mind. Got the information I needed from WickedKlown. DOW33 for the trigger and synthetic air tool oil from Outlast. Last edited by BB Cats; 01-22-2012 at 10:07 AM. |
