Ok... The reason we call it "Ninja mode" is because it takes years of strenuous training to get there. So stop spilling the beans, guys. That said: The spiral ported deadlywinds are quieter than the Carter Woosh. CO2 is quieter than HPA. Low pressure is *easier* to make quiet than high pressure. The reverse is true in conjunction with a rain cover. NEVER EVER EVER EVER run more than 285 fps. And don't be afraid to go lower if you know your kills will be closer. I often enter the field at 245 fps, since I often engage at 20 feet or less. |

High pressure guns can actually be extremely quiet: the quietest gun in my fleet is a Retro 7 with Zero barrel... it simply never informs the other team they are under fire until they are dead, or I miss and hit their bunker instead. My finest and quietest tuned LP guns can't even touch it, although my Illusion comes close, and it's also set up with a Zero barrel (which is quieter than my straight-ported Deadlywinds).

because the rain cover acts kinda like a silencer, not relying on porting so much or the force of the pressurized gas escaping like a lp setup would? In other words, lp isn't any easier to get quieter than hp when using a raincover? Mind you, that was just an uneducated guess

i am trying a Palmers LT valve today and will report back on how it compares to a stock valve with Madmann sear spring/CCM hammer spring. so far, it seems to be about 30-40 FPS lower at the same reg pressure (225) and IVG setting (flush). the valve stem is slightly longer than a WGP stem by a couple millimeters.

is it an hp lt valve or the lower pressure variety? I honestly never had any real luck with the non-hp pps valve

it is the lower pressure one. while it did change the farting to a nice tight pop, it was not as free flowing as the stock valve or as quiet as i hoped. i may try to run the Palmers stem with the stock valve body.

| MCB Member | How do you define free flowing? From past experiences, would you be able to compare it to other well known valves? ie. Rat, CCM, Checkit, etc.
