Replacement Parts

For those that know me, you know I am a sucker for old guns and making them work really well...I was wondering if any of the phantom internals will work or could be made to work in a PMI Trracer?

Also, has anyone figured out a way to adjust the velocity other than having a bolt with an adjustment screw?

Thanks for your help!

Marty

I'm not sure about the internals. I believe if you searched you might find a thread with that info, but not absolutely positive.

As for changing the velocity, either swap springs as needed, or add a regulator. Either will change your velocity.

I don't believe they would as the bolts are much different in size IE

I know GunitPaintball.Com has parts kits for Mavericks, but I'm not sure if they're the same as Trracers. Bulldog Paintball and Airsoldier also have some olde skool parts, but not for Trracers from what I can see.

Like dukie said, the only ways I can think of to adjust velocity without the screw are with a nelson spring kit or by using a regulator. I used to use a CMI R2000 between my quick change/3.5 oz tank and the ASA.

Trracer and maverick parts are the same; trracer tagmasters are the PMI versions of the Hornet series, shares same parts; different pump handles from the Maverick and normal trracers though.

Thank you for the info.

I guess I will have to make my own parts then. The first one will be a back-block or air adapter similar to the phantom, but with an old-school spring adjuster. the next will be a phantom like power tube system. I may just purchase a set of phantom parts to see what it would take to adapt them to the Maverick.

So you know; phantom back bottle adapters and valve bodes DO fit the maverick's body and trigger, but other than that, I'm not sure, since the phantom and the maverick have different bolt spacing for the frame bolts, and different bolts as well, not sure about sears and hammers though..

I am thinkiing to use the phantom air adapter, valve and power tube, but modify the maverick's hammer and bolt to work with them. These are the parts that are hard to find for the maverick these days.
