I have plans for it, if Mike of CCI have a set of older pre-tpc phantom internals around, I'll use those with the nelspot, and as for the finish, its clearcoated for now, (automotive clear from a spray can, I used to do scale models)

I you want a real sleeper get a full set of Phantom internals (including the valve). They work great by just switching out the sears.

What's wrong with Lapco 4 or 6 tubes?

Nothing wrong with LAPCO tubes.

But I don't think they have anything over modern Phantom internals. There's a reason Phantoms have a great reputation.

yeah Freddie Patane, location Sewell, NJ.... and come'on...the phantoms were around in what, 1987? when exactly did the TPC come out? 91? 92?? i just didnt see what made my old 1988 unibody phantom so much better than the bushmaster i had at the time as well lol.....

The TPC and the shortened power tube came out later than that IIRC. Ask Mike when you call him.

Or you could get it copper then gold plated and tell everyone it's a really old one off prototype brass Sheridan when they considered going to Nelson style internals.....

I'm thinking about spraying some black Rustoleum on my Nelspot, then wait until it dries, sand it with 1000 grit sandpaper, then repeat the process 3 times. The final finish will be hopefully enamel clearcoated then baked. Or you can just keep the bare metal finish, and enamel clearcoat it, then bake it.
