Mini-comp vs Mini-buzzard

Hi, first off, I've done an immense amount of searching before posting this, on both guns. Even with all that said and done, I'm still having trouble deciding on which one would suit me better. Although I'd primarily use it as a stock class marker, I would also want to use it as an open class pump occasionally. I'm going to be getting it new, so slide trigger for sure! Other than that, I don't really know what option's I'd choose yet, like VAA vs BBA and other things like milling. Also I would like to keep the cost as low as possible, but we'll have to see what comes up.

If anyone could give me a review of the 'new' slider trigger vs the older ones as well (feel, pull length and adjustability, etc), that would be greatly appreciated =).

What are your guy's preferences and why?

Also, does anyone have any pictures of a Mini-comp with a Vertical Air setup? I heard Carter wasn't doing that before, but the website gives the option for VAA to Rat Attack now.

The website has a few glitches like that, like offering BBA and a "Hardline upgrade"

As I understand it, a Mini-comp with VA is basically a Mini Buzzard. And you can't go wrong with either. Go with whichever one you like the look and feel of more. Most people like the VSC setup since it's easier to change 12 grams, but I love my Mini-comp.

The new slider triggers are amazing, no comparison at all to the swing triggers that you commonly see. Enough of a difference that'd I'd spend the cash to buy new to get the slide.

Eventually I'll get a Mini-Buzzard to add to the collection, but I've got to get a new Box Gun first

I am either going to get a Mini-Buzzard or a Redux when I graduate next year, I really like the looks of the Mini.

Earon is not willing to make a VSC Mini-Comp, something to do with tooling issues. Not sure what that means though. I don't question him. And they are a little different Frink, SS body vs. aluminum body.

And yes, the slider frame is pure awesomeness.

Yeah, you are right. Stupid disclaimers...

The Mini-Comp has a nice looking pump handle, and I would imagine to be fairly light. While I would love to have a VSC Mini-Comp, but I may settle on a two colour splash Mini-Buzzard.

I actually sent in an order for it this past summer, but I became enthralled with the Box Gun before Lauren emailed me back to confirm. She asked if I wanted to make any last minute changes to my Mini-Buzzard order... I said "Sort of...".

Between my old Buzzard and the Minicomp there was a bit of weight difference. But unless you've got them side by side I don't think anyone would really notice. The Mini-comp my be aluminum, but it also has a bigger body than the Buzzards do.

Mini-comp is undercocking as well (which would probably have to be ditched anyway to make it a VSC), but again no huge difference in performance.

Damn, I really want to spend some cash at Carter Machine right now...

That's pretty much it, between UPS and the conversion rate, a 40% premium is hard to stomach.

When Oil (an our dollar) goes back up, I'll start buying again.

We really stole this guys thread didn't we?
