Slightly odd...Redux is musical

Because I took the extended grip off my Redux, its been sitting happily on my coffee table. I suppose I keep picking it up from time to time just because its there. Yesterday I picked it up while watching some TV and kind of flicked it with my finger. It makes a variety of little ding sounds depending on where you flick it. However, I noticed that if I flicked it on the back side of the pocket near the end, it didn't ding...it rang ever so softly...for a while. Curious about this, I gave it a tap with the rubber handle of a pair of pliers. This time it rang nice and loud. Turns out you can use your Redux extended grip as a tuning fork. Weird huh? Maybe some of the more musically inclined Dux owners could tell me what pitch at which their handle rings and perhaps if they all ring the same.

On topic... that's VERY interesting actually... my friend (singer) was telling me how it looks like one of those pitch fork-ish tuners after seeing a review of one...and I don't mean the farm kind lol

Maybe try a local music shop (A real one, not Guitar Center). They should have a nice strobe tuner on hand.

I'll bet that if you took a grinder to it, you can change the pitch.
