| MCB Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: Tampa, FL | Air America Clear View Expansion Chambers I never heard of these before, I suppose it would have been pretty cool to see liquid CO2 boil into a gas... eBay: Air America Clear View Expansion Chambers (item 7215005790 end time Jun-21-07 08:28:06 PDT) Here is the seller's description. These are the famous Air America ClearView expansion chambers for paintball markers. These expansion chambers were made to allow you to actually see the CO2 boil through high strength clear glass tubes. These are a must for anyone who collects older paintball items, as there were so few available for purchase from Air America. These particular Expansion Chambers were kept aside and never used, many never even built. They are available now for your collection. Because of the age of the Chambers, I am selling these to be used as display/decorative items only. Any problems that may arise due to the use of these systems is strictly the responsibility of the purchaser. In order to connect one of these to a marker, a ClearView high line is needed, and available seperate

The material used would "craze" and get these tiny micro fractures, so they aren't safe for regular use. When I teched with them, we set up one on a mag with a loudner AKA "Intimidator" (before bob longs gun), and it was very cool to see the liquid Co2 in the chamber, shoot the gun and watch it "Boil" off and go spastic. Very cool stuff. And it is not set up for regular 1/8th NPt fittings. It used a hard line to back bottle setup for mags, AA chopshop had some of those also, called "High Lines". Oh and FYI, AAChopshop didnt buy the inventory from AA..................... |
