It wasn't sold "outside of Ebay". It clearly states that the seller took the highest bid at that point. Seller still needs to pay fees associated with the $810 selling price.
You never know, I bought a Carter Comp for high bid at the moment of $125 about 1 day into a 6 day auction. Seller needed the $$ fast

It is not like he withdrew it and sold it behind Ebay's back.

You're just jealous

i didn't know you could just end an auction like that and take the highest bidder's price and it be legit. oh well... in that case, the seller made a mistake because he would have gotten more than $810 if he let it go the distance.

An auction is an auction. Selling it outside of eBay would be considered "not legit" (ahem....stern look as we know all know those who like to attempt). as you used the website to attract a buyer and then sold outside it.

....knowing an auction can end at any moment, not just the last thirty seconds, would mean when someone bids, it would be with more meaning. If you don't know when something might end, you have to bid what you feel its worth the first time, or as a real auction, ramps up with the back and forth bidding (how eBay used to be many years ago).

Instead of the wimpy lowballs and waiting for bid snipping programs on day 6, hour 23 and 30 seconds.

There was actually a KP2 on ebay last week for all of 6 hours. It was absolutely pristine. Sure enough, the auction ended early.

At least the guy with the KP2 last week said in the description he would pull the auction for the right price.

I believe that was busted by Ebay as an obvious scam.

3 or 4 of us emailed to see what the "buy it now" price was and we all got different answers.

i went back and looked and saw where the seller ended it for the current bidding price. i didn't see that before. my bad. i thought someone backdoored it.

as far as wimpy lowballs goes... i've seen numerous times when people throw in early low bids to prevent backdooring... and i've often seen people complain when auctions get run up high early... so it happens both ways.

and bid sniper programs... i've tried TopBider twice and it didn't work and that's the only time i've ever used one.
