What makes this a "Termite" as a opposed to a Buzzard with a direct feed? Or is that basically what a termite is?

Looks like what we called the termite in 1990, which was in essance a buzzard setup like that.

So this marker was essentially a 1 of 10? I don't really know much about carters but it seems like it was a good buy if it was indeed that rare. What is "special" about it over say a new buzzard in the same configuration?

I think that is is special just because it is rare. It's my understanding this is the precurser to the Buzzard. The buzzard is prolly a superior gun (If I had my choice I'd shoot a brand new comp over my 1988 comp) but the collector value of the older guns is good.

My transition comp's bore is huge 695-697 and almost impossible to get nail polish in the bore.

As far as I know the Termites were team guns only made for Master Blasters back in the day...

All the ones I have seen all originate some where from New York and were either sold on ebay or to the local store that had one of their old team mates working as head air tech.

The two I know of that are in my shop belonged to a guy named manny
