The next run of Redux's; little question.

Hello all you Redux users I am extremely jealous of. I have a question for ya'll. I had sent an email to mongo over on his site about two weeks ago asking about future runs of the Redux and he responded stating that there would be some rather soon. I sent one back asking about pre-ordering one and I haven't heard since.

Now, I don't want to pester him, I'm sure that he gets tons of email from people looking to get one, and doesn't have time to answer everything. I just wanted to see if there would be anyone on here that knows what his policy is on pre-orders, down payments, and the like. I would much rather have a redux, they seem like so much more for the money, and to put it simply, they are just as sexy as the carter version. I am determined to own one, be it a brand new one or a used one. I singed the guestbook on his site as well, if it counts for anything.

Anyway, that's all I wanted to know. Thanks in advance, guys!

I was going to write, "money talks, B.S. walks. Paypal $1,000 to him and a one line message what it's for."

... but that's glib, dismissive and doesn't do much to answer the question.

Only Steve (Mongo) can speak for Steve but my 2-cents are:
  • Steve doesn't sell products that don't exist, unlike some so-called paintball vendors
  • When he has product on hand, he'll announce it.
  • Be the first in line. Spend every waking and sleeping hour on this forum.
  • Have this, the Redux section on your web page watch list, as well as the Paintball News section.
  • Use MCBspy.
  • When Mongo posts, immediately PayPal whatever he's asking for, assuming you haven't paid already.

Haha thank you cj! I figured that is how it would have to go, I have about half or so of what I estimated the cost to be stashed away. I figure about $1200 should be a safe bet. I would like to have most, if not all of it ready to go by the end of the month, since he said they would be here next month. If I could just sell my T4, I would be set.

And I'm already on here every waking moment of my life anyway, so that's no biggie for me though I have never used MCBspy before.

He emailed me a few weeks ago saying that they were going for round $1350 for the standard gun.

edit: Found it

Hi Andy! well, I am working on 7 right now- I am finishing them up on manual equipment, so it is taking more time than before- The Redux comes as you saw them in 2007 at the OSC. 6in barrel, freaked of course, twist in the grip changer, and ano'd grey. The options offered are 1 in EXTD, ported barrel, Millet Sights, and polished colored finished (blue, green, red, purple, gold. A standard Redux, no options is going for $1350 right now.

On target??? I'm there like every weekend! Well, almost every weekend. I just played Tribal Conquest there with my duckslide and mini-comp, I wonder if we ran into each other. First scenario I was ever in. I won't be there this weekend, but the next one I will be. If you're in the area and don't mind, I would love to try yours. Though I'm already dead set on getting one. I think it may just fuel my hunger for one that much more.

I thought about messaging him here as well, I just don't want to be a bother. He'll have them when they are done, I just want to secure my spot for one any way I can.

EDIT: Worrptangl, thank you for the heads up on them! I was hoping there would be more, I think 7 will go insanely fast. Gray or black were my choice colors as well, and probably the extended barrel. So I was close in my estimate, just a little more to save.

Congrats on your upcoming purchase, the redux will serve you well . CJ and DSA are the two redux experts in our little corner of the paintball world, along with the man himself Steve.
