| Weekend Warrior  Join Date: Feb 2010 Location: Vancouver BC, Canada  | Lapco Fluted hammers - do they fit?
Hello Redux owners! I gotta say ever since Mongo confirmed that there is a Redux with my name on it, I've been sleeping like a baby every night.  I'm hoping to become an official member before the year is over.Now for the real reason I made this post. Has anyone here tried a Lapco fluted hammer in their Redux. I'm wondering if the hammer is compatible with cci bolt? I'm guessing a fluted hammer could potentially increase efficiency per 12 gram? Larry |

I am pretty sure that they would fit, you will most likely have to change the sear out though. Check out cjottawa's post on milled hammers for the redux. Milled Hammer - success

Out on a limb but just about any breech drop bolt n hammer will fit its all about the sear configuration. So when you get your Dux go either rout you choose but take the stock sear catch and make the swap. I however would "strongly" recommend contacting Dan Bacci and purchasing and old school "heavy" 007 bolt n hammer set. Steve feel free to chime in but "heavy meta"l has "always" been a strong combo....hence my 47 shots per 12 gm! Long live Sammy Hagar and Steve Brett .........Hooah!

Paintballers sure are a wacky bunch. Buy a gun like a Redux and before its even in your hands you start thinking of ways to eff with it... lol

ASP has Fluted hammers for sale now also they are 25grams and use the Phantom style sear.

DSA also has the efficiency advantage of living in Texas which if memory serves, is only about 10*F cooler than Hell. I'm going to go stomp through the snow/slush now.
