I am thinking about getting one of these lovely guns in a few months and I have a few questions. I would want a viper as I like the stainless steel and I would want it in a pistolish format. What would be my best option for stockclass and I assume that the 12g would go in the bottom tube by the pump handle right? What is the efficiency like on these and how easy are they to service the bottom tube. Also how much do you think that the rig I described would cost. Any other info would also be appreciated, THANKS!

Stockclass: It can be done, there is a "prototype" in the works at the moment.
12-gram: If you want a brass valve tube, then Rick can install a dropout slot with a PPS fasst changer. Stainless..not sure at the moment, Rick doesn't do lever dropouts anymore. If you want a stainless valve tube, a vertical air adapter with a CCI bucket changer is an option. Rick just built a Viper with a VAA, it came out really clean looking.
Efficiency: the original vipers tuned to run off 12-grams were getting 40-50 shots after some of Rick's magic.
Servicing: Same as any standard sheridan. They use the same valve with some valve work done by Rick.
Cost: $500+ depending on options.

I KNOW I used to be such a minimalist, I had 2 guns that I played with for 2 years and now suddenly I Have this urge to buy EVERYTHING I see! I will likely be buying this or something else over the summer as I will have a summer job.

As someone who has bought and sold/traded well over 50 guns. It's nice to have a selection, but I always used one or two. I have three and it's hard to juggle them.

Lechooch: Are you in San Diego? Why don't you just stop by Rick shop and try on all the different configuration. At one time or another he have quite a few there for you to try on. You can also discuss price with him and any other options too.

Not quite that simple. I am about 2 hours from sandiego and im 15 so I dont have a car just yet...

Yeah I suppose I should just count my lucky feathers and be content but hey, its mcb what can I do lol?
