So I got the chance to play with my gargoyle over the weekend and I think I have fallen in love. The gun preformed flawlessly all day and when I took a gun hit and I had to take it apart to clean the internals, I actually had fun because it was so easy. the trigger on this gun is AMAZING, it is better than my boxgun and the CCMs I have owned in the past. The field strip capabilities are something that might be taken for granted but when you have to use them you will be glad that it's there. The pump stroke is not the greatest I have ever had but it is certainly nothing to complain about. overall I am very impressed with this gun and you can expect a full review coming soon.

Pump issues

Well I am now having some binding issues with the pump stroke on my gargoyle. I have narrowed it down to two things, the pump bushings are binding with the barrel(they are both phantom) and the rod that connects with the bolt is binding with the rail and or body. The binding is severe enough that the return spring will not return the pump handle forward.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

Did you adjust the length of the rod at all? I don't own a Garg, but i know with mini comps the two rods need to be the same length, even a turn or two off can cause binding like you describe.

I think it is different on the minicomp, the gargoyle has one rod connecting to the bolt and the other is just for stability meaning t just slides freely in the rail. The rods are not the same length and as far as I know, they are not supposed to be

When it goes back and is cocked does the trigger move with the pump handle? Does the Trigger have a vertical pin sticking up to trip the sear or a delring insert?

Check your TPC...If it's turned too far out (TPC tip sticking out of the bolt face) it'll cause that problem,I had the same issue with my Phantom....Hopefully the hammer anti-kink lip didn't get damaged in the process like mine did (If it did let me know,I have a spare hammer you can have, all it needs is the sear installed)

It won't be the bushings.

Read the above suggestions....love MCB.

After that, loosen the two nuts on the two rods where they connect to the pump, pump a few times (with them still loose) until you make it happy, and then tighten the nuts down snug. That may be the issue. Have to align the pixies.

Ok, so i did what you said with the pump rods and I finally got that all smoothed out. Now the gun has a perfect pump stroke WITHOUT the barrel but WITH the barrel there is binding.

EDIT: update, so I have found out that when the pump handle is level(as it should be) there is binding but when ever so slightly raised there is no binding. So it is not the barel in itself but the fact that it forces the pump to be level thus causing binding.
I dont know what to do about this...

So if I read this correctly, one of the pump arms is rubbing on the bottom of the rail grove yes?

that is correct, I believe it is the one that connects to the bolt
