Tuning the gargoyle

So I picked up gargoyle number 28 and am looking to tune it for efficiency. I was getting a solid 25 shots in the configuration I got it in. It came with a red hammer spring, stock internals and macro line. I am going to run a hard line and a freak bored barrel once the parts come in. Additionally, I am going to throw an oringed tpc.

Aside from the changes above, what spring combination have you found to be the best in terms of efficiency?

#6 powertube, trifluted hammer, openfaced tpc, silver mainspring. It did well for me when I had #23 for a while. Size the paint properly as well. I was pulling 60 shots. Don't believe me? Talk to splatttttttt, I also think I recorded it on my youtube channel somewhere.. Didn't chrony though and that was a bad batch so I had somewhere under 60 in reality. Other runs got me sweet results.

Edit: short304 has 23 now. I don't know what changes he's made or how it's shooting. Hit him up.

Check over in the CCI section also you will get more tuning info also.

I had #23 also. Miss it dearly but like Donut said that thing was tuned to just short of perfection by Splattt.

How about spring combinations with the stock bolt hammer and power tube? I know I could go all out and replace all the internals but I'm trying to keep it as stock as possible.

That being said, does anyone have an open faced tpc laying around they want to get rid of?

One thing to keep in mind for open faced TPCs is that they can be brutal on paint. So when sizing, go for what will just hold the ball in place rather than boring for a tight fit.

Get the Autococker valve insert, a set of springs, a 6sixpack of your favorite beverage and a free afternoon.

Your results are going to be different than people in other areas because CO2 isn't a perfect gas.

I'm fond of the strong valve, weak main spring combo.

What is the autococker valve insert? I've never heard of that before, but sounds intriguing

Realizing that lots of people mess with springs and that it's hard to find spring sets with different valve springs RTR made different length inserts for that length spring.

He also made one for colder weather that I am currently testing with some interesting results.

I was reading guys using different strength valve springs. I assume these come from the autococker madman spring kit?

Just googled it. It is the autococker madman kit. Any suggestions on the springing? I heard green valve spring and red main spring.
