Sherwood Forest

I know last year that Sherwood Forest dropped Viper and I believe this year they are running their scenario events in-house too. Just curious how these events went last year? Did the games run smoothly and where the events worth it compared to prior years when Viper did them?

Sherwood

My team went to Sherwood's first in-house scenario back in May and then played in another in September. Both games were AWESOME!!! Of course the field is awesome and the scenario that Patty wrote was great. We have put 2 maybe 3 games there on our 2012 schedule. They are definitely games that you should try to make time for.

Sherwood is a great facility. I haven't been there in a few years but a lot of my friends are local and keep telling me it is good to go. Not sure about the new scenarios, haven't heard much.

I was at two of their games last year. Both went pretty well. Some minor teething issues to be expected from new producers. The second game went smoother than the first, so they're applying lessons learned.

Definitely looking forward to the 2012 season there :-)

Good to hear. Went to the pump game in August 2010 and LOVED the field. Very happy to hear they are doing well with the scenarios in-house.

I was only able to attend one of their games last year. I thought it was ran very well. Also the power Joe added to the field made for some great game play at night.

Hopefully I will be able to make it to an event out there again this year. Things change when you have a kid during hard economic times.

Anybody going to the Command & Conquer game My 5th-6th? About 10 of us will be coming up from the Baltimore area starting this time next week...I think it's been about 3 years since our last Sherwood trip and I'm really looking forward to this one...

Just to kind of correct something, Sherwood didn't drop Viper nor did Viper drop Sherwood. Viper does events at a field for x amount of years, teaches the field owner/operator, teams and refs how to run a proper game and then moves to a new field. This creates quality local events near the standard of Viper and helps grow the scenario community. At least that's the official word but Sherwood is a must for all paintballers, one of the top facilities in the country by far. If you want to check out what the field looks like hit up my site I did a few events there back in '09 and have been trying to go play there since.

I might have to get in on the next trip. I don't have time for this one.
