Talking Can anyone make a custom Sheridan cartridge valve

Hi,

I've been doing some research and I've been reading what everyone has been writing on the forums. I was wondering if anyone could make a custom cartridge valve, something with more volume, which means it would have the same set up as a stock cartridge valve, BUT it would be and 1 -1.5 - 2 inches longer and act like a resevoir for CO2 to expand.

Any takers?

I'm assuming you're going to run constant air?

Question

CO2, preferably. HPA or CO2 won't matter with the valve.

Why?

No need for expansion in the valve, especially if running hpa. If you run CO2 of a bottomline (Palmer UMB mount) you will get expansion in the hose. Since you can't fire all that fast with a sheridan pump you don't need all that much expansion volume.

As to valve work on a cartridge valve.. man that's where having an original valve is great as valve work is sooo much easier.

I'm sure someone (Matt at MadCustoms if you can get a hold of him) can do it though.

Well, to be honest, I prefer CO2 For what it will be used for, Compressed are is not applicable.

I'm trying build "something", but in order for it to work properly, I need to build a "better" valve set up.

I asked because having an expansion chamber for 12 gram cartridges hurts more than helps. Constant Air is an older term meaning having a larger tank of CO2 so you don't have to change 12 grams all the time.
