One old blue streak stock, One trigger group, One P68SC (and a DF P68AT just in case). Anyone familiar with the general requirements for making a KP conversion? Does the front of the stock need to be shortened a certain length, or a new pump rod need to be acquired? Are there any tricks to keeping it mounted in the stock? Any special holes to be drilled (I'm thinking the rear of the bottom tube might need small holes for the trigger group, but I could be wrong) Any other general wisdom you'd like to impart upon me? If anyone has a pic of a similar completed project, I'd love to see it, just to know what direction I'm headed in. Thanks! Luke

| bringing back the dead Join Date: Jan 2007 Location: pensacola, florida | im working on a bolt action with similar issues...i secured the trigger group to the valve tube with a couple of 6-32 screws similar to the way a backbottle mounts, then drilled a hole in the front of the stock to match up to the nutsert screw...im thinking of drilling a hole in the very back of the trigger group and securing the tail end with a wood screw into the stock...also, i had to mod the hammer to match the trigger sear (i wasnt willing to cut on the trigger/sear to make it match the hammer, felt like i would be committing a sin :-P )...can put some pics up of the project so far... |

I've had thoughts of making this a bolt action instead of a pump....saw a mauser bolt action kit advertised at Cabellas for about $16 that might work great.
