Sheridan KP2 Issues

My brothers Sheridan just got aired up for the first time today. I used a crossfire tank on it, pumped it back and it shot!

Issue is, it shot nothing. Putting my hand over the barrel, I could hardly feel the woosh of air coming out of the barrel. It also has a threaded hole with a screw inbetween the fire and safety switch.

I'm open to any and all ideas, as I've never worked on a KP before.

Thank You everyone.

That threaded hole is the velocity adjuster. Try screwing it in a few turns and see if that changes anything.

Looking at your constant air adapter.... it's not long enough! The narrow (nipple looking part) needs to tough up against the cartridge seal inside the gun. Basically, take the long rod with the knurled end and little silver cup and lay a 12gram at the cup end.... that's how long you constant air adapter (donkey) needs to be.

I'm surprised you didn't hear all sorts of hissing from the pingle screw area when you aired it up.... as of right now you have a charged lower tube... one massive lp tube.... and a ton of pressure on bits that don't need it.

Throw a 12 gram down the lower tube and screw in the cartridge holder (thing described above) and see how it sounds then when you fire it.

That is the CA adapters that were used with the KP-2s. I did make mine larger so that it would engage the seal, but it should work fine with out it.

Notice the o-ring on the end near the nipple that keeps the air in. Current pgp CA adapters don't have than o-ring because they make a seal with the "orange thing."

Try the velocity adjuster. Make sure it is the right kind of main spring. I got one that had the wrong spring in it. That make a difference. American Paintball sells new springs.

Seen the seal on the adapters before just didn't think the adapters were that freaking short... well it would give you one heck of an expansion chamber if you were running off C)2 that's for sure.

Crafty sold it to me telling me that it worked for a KP2.

The top is for the KP2
Middle is for the KP2 with 12gram
Bottom is for my KP3

I'll take a photo of the spring in a moment

I'm currently working on getting that push pin out, but it's in there tight and I don't have a punch.

the top most pictured CO2 donkey will work on a KP2, I used them before.
It is correct they charge the lower tube, just like the dual 12 gram conversion does.
Did you try a 12gram?
