Exclamation Palmers SPEED GATE ROLL OUT FIX DIY!!!

THE PROBLEM
Ok so I had a problem with the balls rolling out the back of the palmers speed gate so I got a piece of rubber similar in texture to most speedfeeds on the market but just a little bit stiffer.
THE SOLUTION
1. Cut a pie shaped piece of rubber material
2. Super glued it in place
THE RESULTS

Good stuff. Much better than my solution. Which was just leave the tube in like cram-n-jam.

Ya I tried leaving the tube in like a cram n jam it was frustrating! It was double feeding plus rolling out the speed gate and I was in the 50 snake so after a little brain storm with Bacci this was the end result

Speed gate rollouts pissed me off too. I'm definitely gonna find a bit to do this to mine.

I don't know if it was just on mine, but it looks like its a common problem. I noticed that the L piece didn't swing far enough back in to keep the balls in place. The problem is that the screw is too short and when tightened, there is too much friction in the assembly for the spring to push the L piece back into the proper lock position.

My solution back then was to flip the nylon nut so that you didn't have to tighten it so much, but the nylon nut would still keep it from falling off. Though the best solution is to get a longer screw.

If you can push the gate in further by hand, I think its best to fix it rather than trying to mod it.

From what I hear they all have the problem. It's really not much of a mod all I did was add a rubber finger thinga ma jig in there to extend the "L" piece and it works great
