TiPX First Strike Adapter - Gunhead vs. PsiOps

Has anyone compared the two TiPX First Strike adapters (Gunhead and PsiOps)? Is either "better" than the other? Any differences other than price?

Thanks.

Didn't know that PsiOps had come out with one.... Never heard anything negative about the Gunhead though.

The gunhead one I'm not to sure of. Someone had issues with chopping FS but I can't say that's the fault of the block and so it doesn't really contribute much to the situation. I know the gen 2 ones are supposed to address some issues with FS and such.

I've got a TacMod block on one of my TiPX's and it's nice, but it shredded bolt o-rings horrible until I buffed it out a bit. It seems to work perfectly well tho now.

The new PsiOps/MILSIG breech looks amazing, the finish is really really nice which is so unlike the stock Tippmann block. I've got it in my primary pistol and it works very good. Shoots no problems with FS so far as I've seen and the bolt o-rings have been fine for the last couple-hunded rounds.

Can you take some pictures of the block from various angles. It would be nice to compare.

I know that in one of the later gunhead versions block they have a spring bumper to help stabilize/align the FS round so it doesn't break in the breach. It would be nice to see that in greater detail if someone had pictures.

edit

I just looked up on the website for the PsiOps block. Their price is $30 as compared to Gunhead's at $45 ($35 if you trade in your factory block.

Here is a picture of the PsiOps block

Here is what I can find of the rubber bumper/spring on the Gunhead block.

Sounds promising. The price isn't too bad either at $30. Have you shot regular paintballs through it as well? Any difference?

I only wish it came included in the "basic" FXR kit for the price they're asking for it.

Looks like the PsiOps comes with an improved detent as well, unless Tippmann made a change somewhere, that's definitely slightly different from all the Tippy detents that I have.

Correct. The stock block is only designed for regular round .68 paintballs to fit through.
