Back bottle ASA problem

Got a new to me Sterling in today & had plans to set it up for stock class but I have one major problem. The AGD Micro CA only wants to screw in 1/2 way. My 20oz screws in perfect (then again I have been using it since 2002). The new SP on-off valves I got in the other day are 'tough' to screw in & dont seem to go all the way in. Also checked my 88ci Co2 tank & a HPA tank, which both screwed in fine.

I have wiped down, checked, greased (Dow111), wiped down & checked again, oiled, wiped down & checked again and the M-CA just will not screw the whole way in.

Last week when the M-CA came in, it screwed in fine to the Raps ASA on my Alias & another ASA I checked. My thinking is that each part is towards the edge as far as tolerances go (had that happen with some HPRs & front blocks). Part of me wants to just rebuild the M-CA, screw it in by hand & get after it with a vice & pliers but I know that is all sorts of wrong & I wont be able to switch it back later.

What advice do yall have?
