Ebay find. New or Old Sterling?

Sterling Pump Marker RARE Extra Barrel Viewloader Hopper agd Grips | eBay

Can anyone tell if this is a new or old Sterling (i.e. new threading and updates vs. Sterling threads)?
Thanks.

Not sure, but I beleive one way to tell is by the grip frame. if its metal then old (proline = sterling thread), if plastic then new (arrow=spyder). COuldnt quite tell from the pics, but when I looked close i did notice it is missing the front frame screw...which you will need for sure.

This is an older sterling (non-spyder threads). I can tell by the shape of the pump handle and threads on the pictured stock barrel. Also the grip frame appears to be a modified AGD grip. Looks to be the later 90s style bronze or STP with a bronze style valve body. The front of the grip rail appears to have a screw, but it's not a thumb screw.

ooh, a nice black right feed sterling. hmm. this is tempting. I always wished my cf stp was a right feed.

in my estimation it is an older stp. Some of the stp's had that valve body with the matching bottomline kit. My stp has the hose out the back of the valve body, but it is from the last generation right before spyder threaded ones came out.

if we had a picture of the left side and it had a wire detente that would all but confirm stp.

Precisely! It would be nice to see if there is any detent on the other side of the body (the side not pictured).

Still though, thanks for pointing this sale out. Proves my theory that single trigger agd/cocker grips will work on old single trigger sterling frames (which I already know fit my ghost, which was what I was trying to figure out if the agd grips would fit - haha the grips on the frame are agd grips, no better proof than that).

This gun appears to be "post" Pro-Line becasuse of the foregrip. I have a Pro-Line and I have to change springs for my velocity adjustment. All the foregrips I've seen like that have a hole for an allen key to adjust the velocity.
I agree with grimace on the threading, I have both a Sterling Threaded Barrel and a Spyder Threaded Barrel and it is definatly a Sterling Thread.
That Hopper appears to be an old generation VL as well.
Good luck hellion360.
